Road is now open again to one-lane traffic in both directions.
Recent construction developments for the repair and reopening of Sandlake Road to the south include stabilizing the uphill lane to open it up for traffic. After a soil nail wall is completed, a concrete barrier rail will be installed. The lane will have portable traffic signals installed on either end and have a GPS on them with an alarm. The county Road Department estimates the road will be open again at the end of March, or early April. Thanks to Kerry O’Dair for sharing the County Road Dept. photo.
